Past Life Regression Is Not Really That Mysterious
First, let me say that Past Life Regression is not as mysterious as you might think. There’s a lot of traditional psychology behind how it works. It can help you discover both your hidden underlying beliefs as well as the means to release any negative emotional impact.
By definition, phobias are irrational fears. You have a strong reaction to something that may have presented a danger in the past, but that danger is no longer present. So, others may not understand why you keep reacting the way you do and tell you to “just get over it”.
FYI. They mean well. They just don’t get it.
So, what can you do to stop reacting like a scared rabbit?
The Problem With Releasing Fears And Phobias Easily
One of the biggest problems with releasing fears and phobias is that you might know what triggered the initial symptoms, but you still can’t seem to let go of the reactions they produced. In other word, insight does not automatically lead to healing.
Except in Past Life Regression…but we’ll talk about that in a minute.
You could try traditional talk therapy. But here’s the problem with that..
It’s possible for you to spend an extended period of time with a therapist, (and, believe me, I’m not knocking the benefit of that because I am a therapist) and you could gain insight into where the reactions were triggered, but still not be able to let go of those reactions.
So, let’s take a look at what’s going on here.
Psychologically speaking, fears and phobias are the result of a conditioned response to a negative experience.
Even those of you who didn’t take Psych 101 have still probably heard of Pavlov’s dog, right?
Well, here’s a prime example of how conditioned response works, courtesy of Cheryle’s dog…
My dog loved bacon, although we didn’t make it that frequently at home. When we did, he got a little mixed in with his food.
Once he had it a couple of times, he’d sit right there….tail wagging…and waiting in anticipation….every time I cooked it.
Anyway, we eventually started spending summers at a small cottage in Canada, and we made bacon more frequently there, because we were on vacation.
The dog was in his glory!
One time, however, the smoke from the bacon grease set off the smoke detector. You know what that sounds like, right? Not a pleasant sound for man or dog! The poor little creature started shaking uncontrollably and hid in a corner of the room.
We got it taken care of quickly and stopped the incessant screeching of the alarm. But guess what happened the next time I made bacon?
Yep! You’ve got it! The minute he smelled the bacon cooking…he started shaking and hid in the corner! The smoke detector didn’t go off, but the sound had frightened him so much that first time, that he now connected the alarm with the smell of bacon cooking! He formed a conditioned response.
What does this have to do with Past Life Regression?
Gaining insight into where the symptoms first originated, doesn’t bring automatic clearing or healing.
And what if you don’t know where the symptoms were first triggered?
Healing only takes place when you make a mindset shift that places the underlying triggering belief in a different perspective.
Here’s the good part…
With Past Life Regression, you don’t have to review a current life trauma to heal the emotional impact. The number one reason people avoid therapy in the first place…is because they don’t want to re-tell their story and risk being re-traumatized.
Here’s what I now believe based on both my work with traumatized children and 22 years of working with Past Life Regression clients:
It’s easier to review the “story” of a past life personality, from an objective point of view. Then you’re able to understand the lesson you learned and how it connects with your current life
When that mindset shift takes place, automatically, you release the emotional charge on the current issue along with the subsequent reactions and behaviors.
There are many different techniques to reduce emotional charge.
Past Life Regression just happens to be the one that works the quickest.
And, if you’re like most people, knowing where your symptoms come from doesn’t really help much if it doesn’t make them stop.
Past Life Regression can do that.
